What is required when picking up the vehicle?

When picking up the vehicle, you must have a valid ID, a valid driver's license and a means of security deposit, credit card or cash. It is necessary to have sufficient funds on the credit card in order to be able to authorize the required deposit amount. The amount of the deposit (authorization or cash) depends on the rental price, the type and category of the car rented, and the selected coverage packages. The credit card may be charged for any additional costs that may occur during the rental period.

Terms of payment

For the rent collection process, we accept cash and all credit and debit cards such as: MasterCard, Maestro, Visa, Diners, American.

We do not accept prepaid cards or electronic cards (Visa Electron, Maestro) for the security deposit authorization process.

The user of the service must be the owner of the credit card.

Driver's license

The user, as well as the additional driver, must have a valid driver's license for at least six months. Driving licenses that are not printed in Latin (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc. should be accompanied by an international driving license). When picking up the vehicle, please present a valid identity card or passport and driver's license.

Lease duration and grace period

Vehicles are rented on a daily (24 hour) basis. 179 minutes of delay is allowed without charge. After 180 minutes of delay, a full day of use is charged. In the event that the User returns the vehicle to the Lessor before the end of the Contracted lease, there is no possibility for an immediate refund. The Lessor will issue the User a Voucher with which the User will be able to use the nominal amount of the balance from the previous Agreement for the future Vehicle Rental Agreement.

Cancellation of lease

If the User cancels the reservation within 48 hours before the start of the rental, he bears the risk of losing any funds paid for the vehicle reservation. The reservation can be canceled by email best.rent.hr@gmail.com

No vehicle pickup

In the event that the User did not collect the vehicle or did not collect it at the agreed time, he bears the risk of losing any funds paid for the vehicle reservation.

General conditions of coverage

When picking up a vehicle, it is important to choose a specific type of insurance package or add-on, there are different insurance packages and add-ons that are tailored to your needs and capabilities.

Accessories

Passenger insurance – additional passenger and driver coverage that covers the costs of treatment and emergency interventions in the event of injury or death.

Border crossing – The fee for crossing the border depends on the terms of the lease, the duration of the lease and special conditions. The user is obliged to indicate the border crossing plan when making the reservation or picking up the vehicle. In the event that the user does not pay the additional compensation, and the vehicle is damaged outside the borders of the Republic of Croatia, all additional coverages chosen by the user will not be valid and he may be charged for the total amount of the resulting damage.

Crossing the border is charged EUR 7.00 per day.

Additional driver – an additional person who is authorized to drive the car is charged EUR 4.00 per day.

Child seat - A child seat is a legal obligation until the child is 12 years old or 135 cm tall.

The user can rent a child seat of different sizes, and it is necessary to choose the one that best suits the age of the child:

Child seat (0-18 kg) in the amount of EUR 4.00 / day (EUR 80.00 max per rental)

Child seat (15-36 kg) in the amount of EUR 4.00 / day (EUR 80.00 max per rental)

In the event of a traffic accident, theft, malfunction of the vehicle or others. the user is obliged to:

  1. store the vehicle until it is taken over by the Lessor;
  2. record names and addresses of participants and witnesses;
  3. call the police and secure their records, except in the case of a malfunction;
  4. without delay, make a statement about the event at the nearest office of the Lessor.
  5. In the event that the user does not provide a police record, acceptance of TP / CDW, CDW + or SCDW does not reduce the user's responsibility for damage, given that he did not act in accordance with the above procedures.

Costs not covered by AGRO MAK d.o.o. nor can they be covered by additional coverage

Loss or theft of luggage and/or personal belongings in the vehicle.

Fines for traffic violations, illegal stopping and parking, as well as the costs of parking tickets.

  1. Costs incurred due to incorrectly filled fuel.
  2. Costs for a lost, stolen or damaged vehicle key.
  3. Costs for lost, stolen or damaged vehicle documents
  4. Costs of damage caused by negligence – dead battery.
  5. Costs of damage to the interior of the vehicle.
  6. Costs of loss of equipment (spare wheel, tire repair set and related tools, luggage rack/shelves) and case with vehicle documentation and user instructions).
  7. Costs of damage to additional equipment.
  8. Expenses incurred due to misuse of the vehicle.
  9. Costs incurred due to non-observance of vehicle maintenance requirements specified in the attached service booklet.
  10. Costs of damage to the vehicle caused under the influence of alcohol or opiates.
  11. Costs of extracting vehicles from inaccessible areas (eg extracting vehicles from mud in case of non-use of first-class roads).
  12. Costs incurred by driving on unpaved roads.
  13. Expenses incurred when driving races or participating vehicles in sports events.
  14. Costs caused by overloading the vehicle with people or cargo.
  15. Costs for damages caused by a person who is not listed as the main or additional driver in the rental agreement.
  16. Costs incurred in cases where the driver or additional driver specified in the rental agreement does not have a valid driver's license or is prohibited from driving a motor vehicle.
  17. Other: Damage to wipers and vehicle lock. Theft or loss of exterior parts of the vehicle without submitting a police report. Costs of damages caused by the use of roof racks or luggage on the racks. Damage caused by loading or unloading cargo or luggage and by placing cargo or luggage on the roof, hood or similar. Costs caused by ignoring the vehicle's audible and visual notifications.

Delivery and collection

During working hours

Delivery/Collection of services is on request and is possible for an additional fee.

Delivery/Collection within the city (or within 10 km from the central office) for a fee of EUR 20.00.

Delivery/Collection Zagreb Airport with a fee of EUR 30.00

Delivery/Collection must be arranged at the time of booking.

Pickup / return outside office hours

An additional fee of EUR 30.00 is charged for bookings outside the branch's opening hours.

The user is responsible for paying all traffic and parking fines incurred during the rental.

Lost key

In case of key loss, a minimum fee of EUR 200.00 is charged or an invoice from an authorized service for a new key

Loss of documents and license plates

In case of loss of vehicle documents, a fee of EUR 350.00 is charged.

The user is obliged to report the loss to the police and submit the police report on the loss of the official document.

Vehicle cleanliness

In the event that the vehicle requires special cleaning procedures (e.g. removal of odors, animal hair, liquid spills) upon return, a minimum fee of EUR 150.00 will be charged.

Smoking in the vehicle is not allowed

In case of smoking in the vehicle, a fee of EUR 150.00 will be charged
